My name is Malou Ortega and I have recently joined the Latrobe Health Assembly in January 2021. I am excited to be a part of a community organisation that is working to make our community as strong and healthy as it can be.
I arrived in Australia in 1997 from the Philippines and began studying in a range of fields including aged care, nursing and teaching. I am currently employed at Oâmara House Traralgon.
I hope to be able to share my insights and experiences with the Latrobe Health Assembly and play an active role in testing and developing new initiatives to make a difference within our community.
My dream for the next 5 years would be to see the Latrobe Health Assemblyâs projects begin to show some measurable improvements in health within our community.
