Personal Experience

Den Lim currently works at Community College Gippsland as the Business Development Manager and draws on experiences and learnings from her various past roles at Monash University, Federation University, Latrobe City Council, Berry Street and GippSport.

Den relocated from Melbourne to Churchill in 2004 to pursue the Bachelor of Business and Commerce at what was then Monash University. Den also holds a Master of Business and Administration degree.

In 2016 Den joined the Latrobe Health Assembly as a community member and cofounded a social connection group known as ‘Latrobe Women Creating Conversations’.

Den completed the Gippsland Community Leadership Program in 2017. Her network was expanded across the region, her expertise was cemented, and her viewpoint was enhanced by the program.

 Den is a board member of the Baw Baw Latrobe Local Learning and Employment Network (BBLLEN), a member of the Adult Community Further Education Gippsland Regional Council (ACFE GRC) and a member of the local jobs and skills taskforce.

Den is passionate about leadership and helping people to uncover their special talents and passions. Den enjoys collaborating and working with others to accomplish goals and achieve outcomes and impact to help improve our community.

Den joined the Latrobe Health Assembly from its inception. Den has been on many working groups and has led successful projects whilst working for GippSport such as Streetgames, a VicHealth awards winner in 2019 for ‘improving the health and wellbeing of young Victorians’. Den also thoroughly enjoyed advising and participating in other projects such as Social prescribing, Hands up Latrobe, Physical Literacy, Food for All Latrobe, Youth Advisory group along with many other initiatives of the Assembly.
