My name is Catherine Hodgens and I am the Programs and Innovation Officer at Latrobe Health Assembly. I relocated from Queensland to the Gippsland area in 2013 after completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health) at Queensland University of Technology. In this time I have worked in the Latrobe Valley across a number of organisations in the health sector mainly in health promotion, project coordination and delivery and system integration.
I was working in the region when the Health Assembly was established and have been aware of the great work that has been undertaken so far. It is a privilege to now be part of that work and to contribute the skills and knowledge I have gained in my previous health related roles. I am excited to be working with such a skilled and professional team, and with the passionate community members that make up the Latrobe Health Assembly.
I look forward to seeing the work of the Assembly lead to positive health and wellbeing outcomes for the community, sharing our learnings more broadly, and being seen as a leader in health innovation.
