The Latrobe Food Security Coalition, known as Food For All Latrobe Valley, will launch their Community Cookbook later this month hosting a special lunch at The VRI Hall Traralgon to thank the many contributors involved in the project.
Food For All Latrobe Valley is a community led initiative working to increase access to fresh, nutritious food for all in our community. The Community Cookbook aims to share the stories and love of good food featured by 30 local recipe contributors; and inspire the wider Latrobe Valley community to prepare and share a simple and delicious meal with their family and friends.
âThe cookbook launch is a much-anticipated occasion celebrating local people, local stories and local produce. Contributors will enjoy a delicious meal with all recipes freshly prepared from the cookbookâ commented Gabrielle Francis, Food For All Latrobe Valley Implementation Officer.
The Community Cookbook will be a free community resource and will be available in a number of locations across Latrobe Valley including libraries, community centres and community gardens.
A free digital download will also be available on the Central West Gippsland Primary Care Partnership website: https://www.centralwestgippslandpcp.com/projects/food-security/latrobe
Food For All Latrobe Valley is funded by the Latrobe Health Assembly and is another example of what organisations can achieve together within the Latrobe Health Innovation Zone. The Food For All Latrobe Valley Community Cookbook also received support from the Victorian Government.
