Latrobe Health Assembly

Are you ready to make a difference to health and wellbeing in Latrobe Valley?

The Latrobe Health Assembly currently has several vacancies for community members ready to help shape the Latrobe Valley and make a measurable impact on health and wellbeing.

In response to the Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiries, the Victorian Government designated the Latrobe Valley as a Health Innovation Zone, the first of its kind in Australia. The formation of the Latrobe Health Assembly is a key component of the Health Innovation Zone and is a mechanism for increased community engagement leading to health improvement and integration of services.

Comprising around 45 members, the Latrobe Health Assembly is working with the population of Latrobe City to reach the goal of 10,000 more people with better health and wellbeing in 10 years.  Action centres around the four pillars of Healthy Living, Better Care, Positive Culture and Great Place.

The Latrobe Health Assembly provides the opportunity for a much stronger community voice in identifying health and wellbeing issues and gaps and also identifying solutions that best meet the needs of Latrobe Valley residents.

If you have a passion for making a difference within your community and a desire to innovate, then we want to hear from you.

The Latrobe Health Assembly is especially interested to hear from youth, business/industry leaders and community members of smaller townships within Latrobe Valley, although applications are welcome from all members of the community.
